Do you know that the next Lundakarnevalen – the biggest student carnival event in Lund – is approaching you? An exclusive report with the newest updates with the head of communications of the carnival committee Sara Ramberg will guide you to the marvelous event!
Lundakarnevalen is an earth-shaking phenomenon that has a very long history (just like everything else in Lund!). It takes place every 4 years and dates back to the middle of the 19th century.
It is the essence of the student life in Lund summed up in one big festival created by the students, where everybody is welcomed. Every fourth year, it attracts hundred thousands of visitors coming from all over the country and it includes everything fun you can think of! Shows, spex, theater, as well as fabulous food, special entertainments for kids, and of course, a train parade that puts the whole event to its highest peak. That is only a small part of the long list of fun activities you can experience in this crazy festival.
The carnival committee has been elected rather recently – they had their first meeting of great planning on Monday! And we had the nice opportunity to interview the head of communications of the carnival committee Sara Ramberg about the most updates of the whole matter of the course.
The theme of the new carnival is not set yet, but as it always has been, it will be inspired by the world around us. “For most people, being part of the carnival is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, if you are in Lund at this time, don’t miss the opportunity to participate in it. Just come, enjoy it and have fun!”, says Sara to us.
If you are interested in the event, keep an eye on the carnival’s social media pages, and look forward to the next great event following the university’s 350 year jubilee celebrations!
